The school is seeking an educator who is passionate about providing a supportive and inclusive learning experience for students in a self-contained, non-severe setting, as well as serving as a resource teacher for elementary grades K-5.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience supporting middle school and/or elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive, respectful environment
• Commitment to collaboration with colleagues, families, and specialists
• Effective communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in a self-contained, non-severe setting at the middle school level
• Serve K-5 students as an elementary resource teacher, providing targeted academic and behavioral interventions and support
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment
• Maintain thorough documentation, data, and progress reports in line with district standards
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning sessions

Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 3:15pm, working 37.5 hours per week.
