Youll work 35 hours per week in a role suited to your expertisewhether thats providing Resource/Inclusion support for students with mild-to-moderate disabilities or leading instruction within a Self-Contained classroom. As you foster academic growth, youll have the chance to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, all while advancing your own professional skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license for your targeted grade band (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary)
• Compliance with the Right to Read Act: already certified in, or able to complete, Rhode Island Structured Literacy proficiency within one year of hire
• Proven ability to create inclusive, differentiated instruction for elementary-level learners
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective IEP-driven instruction for students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
• Adapt and modify lessons to support access to the general curriculum
• Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in annual review meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support individualized learning
