Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid state certification in Special Education (meeting all state requirements)
• Demonstrated experience teaching or case-managing special education students in K-12 settings
• Strong skills in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to conduct thorough student evaluations and use data to inform instructional strategies
• Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with families, staff, and support personnel
• Commitment to in-person teaching; remote work is not available for these positions

Role Responsibilities:

• For the Middle School position: Teach and case-manage 5th and 6th graders, conduct educational evaluations, develop and maintain IEPs, and coordinate support services
• For the High School position: Oversee a caseload of students in grades 9-12, deliver direct instruction, ensure IEP compliance, and supervise paraeducators
• Foster inclusive classroom environments and utilize best practices in special education
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrative teams
• Advocate for student needs and participate in regular team and IEP meetings
