School-Based Teacher for Inclusive Learning Needs

We are seeking a highly motivated Teacher for Inclusive Learning Needs to join our team in a school-based setting. This role is dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning requirements, helping them achieve their educational goals and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students' needs and abilities.
  • Modify curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Provide direct instruction in core subjects, fostering academic and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting measurable, achievable goals.
  • Maintain open communication with families to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
  • Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching license or certification appropriate to the role.
  • Endorsements or additional certifications as required by state-specific guidelines.
  • Proven experience working with students who have diverse learning needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
