Special Education Teacher - Whitehall, Pennsylvania

Step into a meaningful role providing essential support as a Special Education Teacher focused on Middle School Autistic Support. As a key team member, youll help guide a dedicated group of 8 students, crafting and implementing effective learning strategies tailored to each learners unique needs. Your expertise will contribute directly to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and behavioral growth.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education at the middle school level
• Experience working with autistic or neurodiverse students at the middle school age preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Ability to develop, adapt, and deliver Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Patience, empathy, and creativity in implementing instructional and behavioral strategies

What youll do:

• Provide daily instruction and support for a maximum of 8 middle school students
• Develop and execute lesson plans adapted to each student's IEP
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and structured classroom that promotes participation and independence
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to optimize student progress
• Track and document student behavior, achievements, and IEP compliance
• Support students social, emotional, and academic development

This position follows a MondayFriday schedule from 7:15am 2:45pm, totaling 35 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
