Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position in Derby, KS for the 2025–2026 school year. This role supports a K–5 caseload and includes overseeing two paraprofessionals in a collaborative school environment.

Job Details:

• Position: Special Education Teacher (K–5)

• Schedule: Full-time, August–May

• Caseload: Elementary students

• Location: Onsite in Derby, KS

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and services aligned with student IEPs

• Manage and support classroom paras to ensure instructional goals are met

• Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers

• Maintain compliance with special education regulations and district guidelines

• Track student progress and communicate regularly with families and the IEP team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field

• Valid Kansas teaching license with a Low Incidence Special Education endorsement

• School-based experience preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
