Special Education Teacher - Wilmington, Delaware

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Delaware Special Education teaching certification (required; please provide with your application)
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
• Adaptability to serve a diverse caseload across different schools in the district
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and support services to students with special needs as assigned
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess student progress, adapting interventions and goals as necessary
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other professionals
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student performance and compliance
• Assist in creating a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere for all learners
