4th Grade Special Education Teacher (SPED) Needed | Self-Contained Classroom

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Special Education Teacher to serve in a 4th grade self-contained classroom within a school district in the Winsted, CT area. 

Local & State Requirements:

• Valid Connecticut Educator Certificate with a Special Education endorsement (Comprehensive Special Education K–12 or equivalent).

• Compliance with Connecticut State Department of Education and district hiring requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Previous classroom or student teaching experience in special education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.

• Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.

• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
