Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher – Full-Time – Alpena, MI

Blazer Jobs is hiring a full-time DHH Teacher to serve a school district in beautiful Alpena, MI. Role Responsibilities:

• Support students with hearing impairments in inclusive, resource, or self-contained settings

• Customize instructional approaches to meet auditory and communication needs

• Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community resources

• Advocate for student access and inclusion across all school environments

• Track progress and maintain IEP and compliance documentation

Required Credentials (Michigan):

• Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement in Hearing Impairment (HI)

• Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education with DHH focus

• ASL proficiency or experience working with sign language interpreters

• Understanding of FM systems, cochlear implants, and other assistive technologies
