Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)

Blazer Jobs is now interviewing qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time school-based position in Clarkesville, GA for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. We’re looking for a passionate educator committed to supporting students with hearing impairments and collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across various grade levels (K–12)

• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and interpreters to support student learning

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Support students in accessing curriculum using appropriate accommodations and modifications

• Utilize assistive technology and communication strategies as needed

• Engage in parent communication and IEP meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Georgia teaching credential with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (or be eligible to obtain one by August 2025)

• Previous experience working in school settings preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

• Passion for serving students with hearing needs and helping them reach their full potential
