The assignment runs from August 10, 2025 to June 4, 2026, with a consistent weekly schedule totaling 37.5 hours.

Your expertise will directly support students in need of specialized instruction without reliance on virtual services. Youll play a key role in promoting communication access, advocacy, and academic progress across varied educational environments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching certification/license valid in California.
  • Previous direct experience within California schools strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for travel and managing an itinerant caseload.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration with staff, families, and students.
  • Professional adaptability and confidence working independently across different sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and academic support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in-person.
  • Provide expertise and accommodations that enable communication access and inclusivity.
  • Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and goal-setting with educational teams.
  • Serve as an itinerant resource, traveling between school sites as assigned.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to general education staff to support successful mainstreaming.
  • Maintain up-to-date case documentation and reporting aligned with district and state requirements.
