State and Federal Requirements:
Louisiana teaching certificate with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or Special Education
Fingerprint and background clearance
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Description/Duties:
Provide direct and consultative instructional support for DHH students
Use various communication methods including ASL, total communication, or oral approaches
Collaborate with general education teachers and IEP teams
Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development
