Youll step into a vital partnership to support a district-wide caseload, working alongside the full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to ensure every student receives specialized instruction and advocacy. With a flexible weekly schedule (ideally 10-15 hours), youll have input on age groups and assignment locations to align with your preferences and expertise. This valuable role extends through March 2026, with the possibility of an extension following a review.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching certificate for Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience providing direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with IEP development, goal setting, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to partner effectively with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction, support, and advocacy for students across multiple sites based on caseload collaboration
  • Consult and collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive practices
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing student progress evaluations
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to ensure accessibility and success for each student
