We are currently seeking DHH Teachers for positions in two vibrant cities:

• New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with hearing impairments in the classroom.

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.

• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies based on their development.

• Ensure all students can access the curriculum, promoting inclusion in all activities.

• Advocate for students' communication and emotional needs to foster their overall well-being.

• Regularly communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.

• Valid state certification in Deaf Education or equivalent (or eligibility to obtain certification in the state of placement).

• Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, preferably in an educational setting.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other alternative communication methods.

• Strong collaboration skills with educators, therapists, and administrators.

• A passion for creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment for students.
