Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in a classroom setting.

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.

  • Evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, adjusting instructional strategies to foster growth.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.

  • Valid state certification in Deaf Education or its equivalent (or eligibility to obtain certification in the state of placement).

  • Previous experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in an educational context.

  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators, therapists, and administrators.

  • A deep passion for supporting students and fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment.
