As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring their access to education through adapted materials, technology, and tailored strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction for students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for visually impaired students.
- Assess students’ needs and provide appropriate instructional and environmental modifications.
- Create and deliver lessons using adapted materials and assistive technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Certification in Teaching the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred.
- Knowledge of Braille and other assistive technologies for visually impaired students.
