Location: Fort Worth, TX | 2025–2026 School Year | Special Education Setting

Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in the Fort Worth, Texas area to hire a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time position in a special education setting for the 2025–2026 school year. This role plays a critical part in providing equitable and specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, helping them access curriculum and achieve meaningful academic growth.

Position Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all local and state certification standards, including:

• Valid Texas teaching certification

• Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) endorsement issued by the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)

• Successful completion of required fingerprinting and background checks through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• At least 1 year of experience working with students with visual impairments (preferred)

• Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and individualized instruction strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and visual needs

• Teach compensatory skills such as Braille literacy, assistive tech use, and orientation and mobility basics

• Modify and adapt instructional materials for accessibility

• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and IEP teams

• Provide consultation to staff and families on accommodations and instructional strategies

• Conduct functional vision assessments and contribute to IEP planning

• Maintain documentation and monitor student progress

• Support inclusive practices across academic settings
