Blazer Jobs is now hiring a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across schools in the Northwest Houston area. This is a full-time, school-based opportunity for a passionate educator who wants to help students with visual impairments thrive in both academic and life skills settings.

Whether you’re experienced in vision services or looking for a new environment with supportive collaboration, this role offers the chance to serve a diverse student population in one of the most vibrant and growing regions in Texas.


Position Details:

  • Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

  • Setting: School-based (K–12 itinerant services across campuses)

  • Location: Northwest Houston, TX

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

  • Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year

  • Pay: Starting at $46/hour, based on experience and placement


Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct instruction to students with visual impairments in academic, functional, and compensatory skill areas

  • Assessing student needs and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Collaborating with classroom teachers, special education teams, and related service providers

  • Providing support in the use of assistive technology, Braille, low vision tools, and orientation/mobility accommodations

  • Consulting with families and staff to ensure inclusive and accessible learning environments

  • Managing itinerant services across multiple schools while maintaining thorough documentation
