About the Opportunity

Webster Parish Schools is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across the district. This position offers flexibility in schedule (part-time or full-time), and is ideal for educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with visual impairments.

Role Overview

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments

• Collaborate with IEP teams, general education teachers, and families

• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet students’ individual needs

• Teach compensatory skills including Braille, orientation and mobility (if qualified), and assistive technology

• Support students in accessing academic content and participating in school activities

• Schedule: Flexible; hours will be discussed based on candidate’s availability

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana TVI License (Required)

• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered practices
