Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Tallahassee, FL

Blazer Jobs is hiring a Teacher of the Visually Impaired for a school-based position in Tallahassee, FL. If you’re passionate about access, advocacy, and instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, we’d love to connect.

Requirements:

• Florida teaching certification with Visually Impaired (VI) endorsement

• Knowledge of Braille, assistive tech, and orientation and mobility

• Experience writing and implementing IEPs

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Typical responsibilities include:

• Supporting students across school sites in general and special education settings

• Providing direct instruction in Braille, life skills, and technology use

• Collaborating with school teams to ensure academic access

• Tracking student progress and maintaining documentation

Compensation: $42/hour
