Job Description:
The TVI will provide direct instruction and adaptive services to students who are blind or visually impaired, ensuring accessibility in academic and social settings.
Responsibilities:
Conduct vision-related assessments.
Implement adaptive curriculum and tools.
Teach Braille, orientation and mobility skills.
Support IEP development and collaboration with school teams.
Federal and Florida State Requirements:
Degree in Visual Impairments or Special Education.
Florida certification in Visually Impaired K–12.
Background clearance (Level II).
Authorized to work in the U.S.
