Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Turbeville, South Carolina

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active certification in teaching students with visual impairments in South Carolina
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) preferred
• Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials for students with visual needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Your Role:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments, onsite, 3-4 days per week (22.5-30 hours each week)
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans to address each students unique strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with general education staff to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Ensure all documentation is thorough and complies with district and state requirements
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students and their families
