Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | White City, Oregon

Make a lasting impact supporting K-12 students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired on a contract basis, with opportunities for both in-person and virtual instruction. This rewarding position runs from December 7, 2026, through June 11, 2027, requiring 30-32 hours per week and offers flexibility in serving a diverse caseload across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties.

Ideal candidates will leverage their specialized training to empower students with visual impairments, fostering independence and academic success in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold valid Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure
• Demonstrated expertise working with K-12 students with visual impairments
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a diverse range of student needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with both in-person and remote (VOCO) instruction preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop individualized education plans for students with visual impairments in collaboration with other educators and families
• Provide direct instruction and adaptive support in academic and functional areas
• Support the use of assistive technology and accessible materials to enhance student learning
• Consult with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive practices
• Travel to designated locations within the assigned counties, as needed
