Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Contract Dates: 2025–2026 School Year

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Braillist for a full-time, school-based role in White Settlement, TX. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting the academic and functional needs of students requiring braille materials and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support in non-academic areas, specifically in braille transcription and production, tailored to individual student needs

• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional materials and methods in accordance with district and IEP requirements

• Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and support strategies

• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement using formal and informal tools

• Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings related to student programming and services

Requirements:

• Valid Texas certification as a Braillist or appropriate credential

• Experience working in school settings preferred

• Strong understanding of braille transcription, assistive technologies, and instructional strategies related to visual impairment

• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain consistent documentation
