This opportunity involves a blend of on-site and occasional virtual (VOCO) services, supporting K-12 students across up to 13 campuses. Key Qualifications:

  • Florida Professional Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License required
  • Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification is a must
  • Experience with educational screenings and assessments preferred
  • Background in school-based services strongly desired
  • Experience with both consultative and direct instructional models a plus
  • Willingness to travel between multiple school sites, with a flexible, district-supported schedule

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an itinerant TVI/OMS providing services to approximately 15-20 K-12 students
  • Deliver both direct and indirect (consultative, monthly) support in alignment with student needs
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to monitor visual functioning and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with educational teams and families to support students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain regular communication with school sites and the main district office as your working home base
  • Complete required onboarding and credentialing steps, including district forms and training
